Project OVERview

Aura Group is one of Qatar's most prominent companies in the F&B and entertainment sectors. The project's goal was to create a one-stop application for Aura's users where they can quickly get the latest updates & offers about the brands & retailers which are a part of Aura. This would also help Aura build a better customer base and increase its popularity in the digital retail sector.

THE CHALLeNGE

The client wanted us to create a luxurious & elegant experience for its users, who are one of the most high-value individuals of Qatar. The application would help the users browse through the various brands and what kind of services they provide. The application would also double up as a loyalty program for Aura's users where they could earn points based on the purchases they made on the app and use those points to unlock offers & rewards for their favorite brands.

Research

As part of our first steps, the client wanted us to come up with a few iterations based on the brief that was given to us. Since I was the lead designer for the project, I took charge of performing the initial research. The research was typically based on a few keywords that defined the design brief. The most important keywords included luxury, elegant, premium & exclusive. As part of my initial research process, I scoured the internet for apps that created a sense of something really premium and tried to make a note of the things that they had in common. Conclusion

This client was absolutely fantastic to work with! They were incredibly collaborative and engaged in the process, joining us for multiple lively Figma workshops. It was such a pleasure to tackle problems together and review our work along the way. Throughout this project, I had the amazing opportunity to delve into the world of building a high-value and luxurious product, expanding my knowledge and skills. Not only that, but I also discovered the exciting design trends and practices followed in the vibrant Middle East.

We were all eagerly anticipating the grand release of the product during the FIFA World Cup in Qatar—a moment of immense excitement! However, as life sometimes throws us unexpected curveballs, we encountered a few unfortunate hiccups that led to the product being shelved. But let me assure you, my team and I are not easily discouraged! With our passion and dedication, we're swiftly overcoming these obstacles and working diligently to bring this remarkable product to the world.
